Editorial : The red light is on for fourth wave of the pandemic

【明報專訊】Recently many people have gone to hotels for short stays, a trend that is referred to as "staycation". Incidents stemming from a haphazard attitude towards pandemic prevention have happened repeatedly, and the related confirmed cases have emerged one after another. During the Halloween period, many people gathered for entertainment, and some restaurants and bars did not strictly comply with the pandemic-prevention requirements. After a week or so, the consequences began to emerge. Over the past few days, the number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong has been on the rise, with cases of unknown sources appearing one after another and scattering across the territory. 23 new cases were reported in Hong Kong yesterday (November 12), six of which were local cases with unknown sources and four of which had to do with taxi drivers.
