Editorial:The judiciary should not be politicised

【明報專訊】Hong Kong's society is divided into ''yellow'' and ''blue'' camps, and there is much debate in society about whether this is the case as well within the judicial sector. Whenever politically sensitive cases are heard in Magistrates' Courts or District Courts, some people from different camps will keep a close eye on who presides over the trial, and sometimes the remarks made by judges in court also leave the public with a strange impression. Even within the judiciary, some have described individual rulings as ''thought-provoking''.
