英超球隊阿仙奴將於5月30日足總盃決賽迎戰另一英超球隊維拉。為得溫布萊球場一票，舉國上下為之瘋狂。一名阿仙奴球迷想「使橫手」，去信英女王求票，想不到竟獲女王回覆。
根據《每日郵報》早前報道稱，英女王是阿仙奴元老級球迷，已經支持了阿仙奴50年了。但也有報道指，她其實是韋斯咸的球迷。
「槍迷」Charlie Pearce收到的女王回信旋即在網上被瘋傳。英女王透過王室高級通訊主任回應，在信中對查理的請求表示「愛莫能助」。
回信全文如下：
親愛的查理，
女王陛下對閣下的5月5日的來信表示致謝，在信中，你說到你最愛的球隊阿仙奴成功進入足總盃決賽。
你向女王提出的請求，亦即協助你和你的好友里奧梅菲取得球賽門票，已獲細心審視。但對此請求，女王陛下亦愛莫能助。
此回應令人失望，實在抱歉。無論如何，女王希望你能好好欣賞球賽。我謹此向你和你的好友，傳達女王最真摯的祝願。
